Hong Kong: Ngong Ping 360!

Ngong Ping 360 is the ideal springboard to explore Lantau Island which it is destined to be one of Hong Kong’s “must go” tourist attractions.  This was one of my highlights of the trip to Hong Kong.  The number "360" in "Ngong Ping 360" means that passengers have a 360-degree view of Lantau Island. A 25 minutes and visually spectacular 5.7km cable car journey starts as soon as you step on the cable car near the Tung Chung MTR station. You will enjoy panoramic views of the Hong Kong International Airport, South China Sea, the Tian Tan Buddha Statue, as well as the flora and fauna of North Lantau Country Park. The amazing and breathtaking view is sure to refresh your body and enlighten your mind. It is great view, but definitely a challenge or even nightmare for the acrophobics.

Adjacent to the Ngong Ping Cable Car Terminal, there is an is an impressive and culturally themed 1.5-hectare Ngong Ping Village, incorporating three major attractions- Walking with the Buddha, Stage 360 and Motion 360. Tian Tan Buddha Statue is the major centre for Buddhism in Hong Kong and is located next to the Po Lin Monastery.
