Dataran Lang: The Eagle Square of Langkawi!
Dataran Lang (Eagle
Square) Is a well known landmarks for
tourists which is a huge 12 metre-tall sculpture of the reddish brown
eagle poised for flight. According to
the local folk fore, the name of Langkawi island is come from the combination
of the words of eagle (Helang in Malay) and "Kawi"
indicated reddish brown. It is located at the southeast corner of Langkawi
island, situated just near the Kuah jetty.
The square acts as a symbol or recognizable monument of the Langkawi
Island, showing a big welcome to the visitors approaching by sea. Dataran Lang has been delightfully landscaped
with beautiful miniature fountains, covered terraces, decorative
bridges, ponds and barrel vaults.

#2- It was the boat that i aboard from Kuala Kedah to Langkawi Island. It's in good conditions and i traveled in comfort without any motion sickness. |
