Penang Bird Park!

Penang Bird Park, the first of its kind in Malaysia was officially opened on 26 November 1988. It is located at Bandar Seberang Jaya, Penang which is 7 km from Penang Bridge Toll Plaza or 7km from Butterworth Ferry Terminal. This 5-cres Bird Park is just 10 minutes drive from the Penang First Bridge. There is also bus service, Rapid Penang (709) ply regularly from Penang Sentral (Butterworth Ferry Terminal) to Penang Bird Park.

Penang Bird Park is built with a garden concept where beautiful landscaping took priority, creating a place of tranquility. Many beautiful aviaries with imitated natural environment, including 2 huge "walk-in-aviaries. Geodesic domes, and more than one hundred cages of various size, housed more than 300 species of colourful birds of Malaysia and other parts of the world, eg: Australia, India, Brazil and etc. Penang Bird Park is being well-praised for its excellent collection of more than 150 Malaysian bird species.
