The King of Fruits: Durian

I think that most of the people will be so familiar with the name of "king of fruits" or we called it durian especially for those who come from Asia.  The durian is distinctive for its unique odour and formidable thorn-covered husk. Some people will be in deep appreciation of the smell and regard the durian as fragrant while others find the aroma overpowering, offensive and disgusting.

Well, surprisingly I love to eat durian. It's probably due to all my family members love it so much especially my mum. She can eat the durian with rice as the main course for lunch or dinner or even both.  Guess what, durian is not only can be served as fruits , it can also be served as many nice foods such as cake, dodol, ais-cream, tart, etc.

#1- Durian cake.
#2- Durian Tart.

#3- Dodol durian is also known as "lempuk".
#4- Green beans sweet porridge with durian. Of course, the durian is optional.

#5- Durian festival at Balik Pulau Pinang.

The Durian festival at Anjung Indah is organizes by Ministry of Tourism Penang Malaysia. Anjung Indah is one of the places that we can find many types of Durian. The price of Durian is around RM15-RM50 depend on the type of durian and the size. For those who are Durian fan, what are you waiting for? Prepare your stomach and ready to go Balik Pulau for some fresh and delicious durian.
