De Tai Tong Cafe: A Good Place for Dim Sum!

De Tai Tong, a Chinese-style  restaurant which is located at Cintra Street in George Town, Penang. It served with wide range of Dim Sum : Siew Mai, Har Gao, Fish ball, Loh Mai Gai( glutinous rice in lotus leaf) and etc. All of the Dim Sum are served in metal trays with the trolley service, mean that the workers will offer and serve you the Dim Sum from the push carts. However, if you wish to serve your Dim Sum fast especially during peak hours (Breakfast or Dinner time) , then you probably have to pick up the foods from the trolley by yourself.    The restaurant also served with other dishes either rice or noodles such as Char Hor Fun, Yee Foo Mee, Fried Rice, Steamed Fish as much more. If you don’t know what to order, you may ask for the recommendation from the workers whom had worked for decades. They will tell you  what are the balance meals that you should order .  Chinese tea is also the famous beverage served at the restaurant.

As Mid- Autumn Festival is coming around the corner, the owner of the restaurant came out with the idea by decorated  the old-style restaurant with few hundreds of Tang Lung hang at the ceiling. You can enjoy the colourful Tang Lung while you're having your meals.  If you spot any Tang Lung that you like, you can buy and own it.  Sound great, right?
